Shoulder guide ...

Ever wondered how the shoulder barriers of a road are constructed?

By the virtue of being in a place with a fervent construction activity, we've seen quite a few methods. The most usual method is cement blocks are placed and then plastered in before the tar is laid.

However, what you see in this picture, is one of the exits from the flyover to nowhere coming up near sector 93. The shoulder barriers for this one are being constructed by that machine in the picture. Labourers put mixed cement in that machine (toward right end). The machine moves forward (toward left). And you have that nice little barrier. Note that this road is yet to get the layers of stones, earth and then tar.

That will hold the barrier in place.
